My journey in the seed industry began in 2008. Since then, I have worked across production, quality, applied research, seed conditioning, process design, and technology implementation to turn operational problems into more robust and repeatable systems.

A period of technical and operational development where I led and implemented initiatives aimed at raising standards, reducing risk, and improving consistency.

GSPP

Implemented hygiene requirements and protocols needed to operate under the GSPP scheme.

DPP

Started and developed the implementation process for the Disease Prevention Protocol to strengthen prevention of seed-transmitted diseases.

Quality system

Implemented a quality management system based on ISO 9001 principles to standardize processes and strengthen continuous improvement.

Applied research

Eight years designing and executing statistically based studies to turn production observations into technical decisions.

Soilless production

Developed a substrate-based production project for cucurbits to improve control, repeatability, and production performance.

Conditioning & technology

Optimized seed conditioning, process-plant design, and technology implementation aimed at producing export-quality seed.

Reproductive quality laboratory

Implemented a complete laboratory for pollen-quality analysis using FDA, pollen-tube growth assessment through pistil staining with aniline blue, and seed-viability analysis.

Plant pathology laboratory audits

Conducted technical audits of the plant pathology laboratory to ensure that seed-transmitted disease testing was performed correctly, with proper traceability, controls, and adherence to established protocols.
